sample packs

We are happy to offer flat-rate sample packs of each of our delicious teas as an inexpensive way for you to try them out. We allow only one sample pack per tea, per order.  Each sample pack will yield approximately three eight-ounce servings. Sample packs are labeled with a description of the tea and include recommended brewing instructions. Note: We reserve the right to modify your order should multiple samples of an individual tea be ordered.

returns | exchanges

All loose-leaf tea purchases are final and are not subject to refunds of any kind. Should your tea be defective or your order incorrectly filled, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for replacement.

Tea ware and accessories may be returned or exchanged only if defective upon delivery.

Returns and exchanges of tea ware and accessories are allowed within 30 days of purchase and must be accompanied by receipt.  Goods must be returned in original packaging.

If you need to return or exchange an eligible item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return or exchange. We will respond with instructions for how to return items from your order.

shipping

Our primary goal is to get your tea to you as quickly as possible. Most orders are filled and shipped out within two business days from the date of the order. Should filling your order be delayed beyond that, we will attempt to notify you of the potential delay.

We ship to addresses within the United States and Canada. Shipping is FREE for orders of $75 or more. For orders under $75, flat-rate shipping to Oregon and Washington addresses is $4.99 and for other U.S. states & Canada, $6.99. Domestic shipments are shipped using USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail (depending upon weight), both with tracking numbers.

Once USPS tracking information has been obtained and your package is ready to ship out, we will send you an email notifying you of this updated status. Note that tracking information may not be available on wwwusps.com for an additional 24 hours. 

Should an item be returned to us by the USPS due to incorrect shipping/address information provided by the customer at the time of purchase, customer is responsible for paying any applicable USPS costs for re-shipment. Should customer wish to cancel the order, any shipping costs incurred by us are not eligible for refund.

Modern Steep is not responsible for packages that are determined to have been stolen; therefore, you should ensure a safe place for delivery.  Package theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the U.S. For added assurance, consider having your package addressed to a secure location (e.g., your place of business, post office, etc.). After all, we want you to enjoy your tea as quickly as possible!
