Both tea farmer and matcha maker (rare in the industry), Yoshiaki Hattori cultivates his tencha with completely chemical-free techniques. He then slowly grinds the leaf into matcha using the age-old stone grinding method. His tea farm is also unique in that it features a vast solar array allowing for growing and production "off the grid." This small batch matcha is equally impressive in taste and nutrition. With Okumidori as it primary cultivar, this matcha is rich, sweet & lightly floral. (contains caffeine)
