Happy Mid-Summer!

It’s Back! We are thrilled to have a new supply of Kanoka Assam on hand. Last year’s crop of this tea was featured on our Reserves menu. After a cooler and wetter growing season, the 2017 crop has finally arrived and exceeded our expectations yet again. As such, it is now featured on our regular tea menu under Black Teas (#81).

This elegant tea is meticulously cultivated in Northern India on a small, family owned farm using all-natural Vriksayurveda agricultural techniques (an ancient Indian plant science focused on the health and life cycle of plant and soil).

This hand-picked, hand-rolled, spring picked tea provides a full bodied cup with little to no astringency and features a lingering, honey-like sweet finish that leaves you craving cup after delicious cup. Its beautiful full leaf format will yield multiple steeps for your sipping pleasure. This tea has quickly become a staff favorite and we can’t wait for you to enjoy it yourself.

Summer Hours In Effect

As we enter deep summer here in the Pacific Northwest, we are adjusting our retail shop hours of operation to become 9am – 7pm daily. Of course, you can visit our website 24 hours a day to find our extraordinary loose-leaf teas, new gift tins and tea ware!

New Glassware

For those of you who have visited our Seattle tea shop, you may have enjoyed a brewed tea in one of our beautiful double-wall, insulated glasses. We are excited to now offer a larger 10oz version of this elegant, durable glassware available for purchase.

Sip your tea in comfort as the double-wall borosilicate construction helps keep your tea hot while the exterior of the glass remains cool to the touch. The glass has a gently sculpted inward curve adding to its comfort and sophistication. This beautiful vessel also works well with cold beverages without the sweat factor associated with most standard glassware.

Brewing Tips

Don’t forget to look for brewing tips and other helpful information on our website. There, you can find information about traditional steeping, cold-steeping and even how to brew up your own fresh batch of iced tea. Happy sipping!

Small Business | Big Thanks!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve received several comments from visitors to our retail shop thanking us for being here and for sharing our enthusiasm for organic teas. Thank YOU for sharing these wonderful, supportive words.

These are tough times for small business as we face challenges stemming from giant online retailers, rising rents, labor and supply costs. To help us remain competitive in this environment, we have lowered prices nearly across the board over the past year as well as added volume discounts, periodic sales and more on our website. We hope you've enjoyed these additions.

We certainly appreciate your loyalty and sincerely hope that you will help spread the word about our company as we work hard to sustain a culture of providing personalized service while offering high quality, healthful tea and related products.

Thank you for being part of our wonderful tea-loving community.

Happy Summer.
